A very cold 8am departure from Glenhope where we headed into Cobar proper and orchestrated the obligatory rig shot at the entrance.  Sue also arranged some super cool  ‘Lappin Oz’ shirts for us all which she surprised us with last night and we all wore today.  Loving it!!

The rest of the day was largely spent travelling and stretching our legs.  We have ended up at the Broken Hill racecourse tonight. Upon arrival we all went into a fresh food utlilisation frenzy as we are leaving the state tomorrow morning and no fresh food can accompany us.  Bob and I have eaten fresh guacamole with carrots sticks, followed by home cooked pumpkin soup with cauliflower soup to be saved for another day. The others have cooked up a storm in a similar fashion.

We ate dinner at the communal campfire (which we kept fuelled with wood from our traverse today) and have enjoyed some reminiscing as well as planning of some holiday style activities for Kieran’s birthday tomorrow.  Looking forward to it.
