Another perfect weather day today! These days have been hard to come by lately but the last couple have been so good. We started the day with a bike ride back to the eucalyptus plantation we saw on the way in yesterday. Great conditions for an explore. This morning was Parkrun day….except I didn’t get to bed till really late after blogging last night so woke up waaayyy too late to go 😉 . Jase and Sue were possibles as well but the squidding conditions proved too good to pass up. They got some good catches, as well as some great drone shots before sunrise over the jetty. Today was planned as a day to look around Busselton while the car was serviced. The weather gods were kind and we were able to set off on a 23km bike ride on the waterfront cycleways of Busselton. The cycleways are really well done, and even better very flat. It was so nice to be back on our bikes after the Rottnest hire bike experience. Well we finally got there! The wind dropped, the rain stopped and the ferry ran 🙂 . We woke this morning to weather far better than we had any right to expect based on the forecast. So we changed plans and decided to head out on the bikes. First stop was a shipwreck close in to shore in Cockburn. The Omeo was built in 1858 and was wrecked in a storm in 1905. It has become a reef and is used for diving and snorkelling.
