The eastward trawl continues. We entered Victoria this morning via Nelson and are back on the same time as home for the first time since the end of June. We are making maximum use of the Starlink while we are travelling and are listening to the local radio station from home while on the road (when I can’t be bothered picking a Spotify playlist) and the local news is getting streamed on the tv as well. We have had unlimited access to the internet every day (except one night when we camped in the trees near Cervantes so couldn’t pick up the satellites). It really is a game changer. So different to last trip where we hooked on to Karen and Kieran’s Starlink if we were close enough and it was on when we were looking for some data.
We stopped at Portland for lunch and a small walk around town. The wind was bitter! The temp was showing mid teens but the ‘feels like’ temp was only 4 degrees. I didn’t appreciate how cold it was when we hopped out of the car so was freezing for the walk. I might have to get the heavy duty winter gear back out of the tubs stored under the bed!
Another hop through to Port Fairy when the weather was still the same. We braved the wind and headed out for a walk to the lighthouse. We decided not to complete the circuit of the peninsula and just did the out and back walk. One of the prettier lighthouses we’ve seen this trip.

We have moved through to Port Campbell where we will base ourselves for the next couple of nights. This evening we headed out for some sunset photography without the crowds at some of the closest attractions. The sunset was pretty ho hum and the wind was freezing but it was good to have a hit out with the camera.

Planning to head a bit further away to explore tomorrow.
