Today was exactly what we all needed – a down day. Bullara is famous for its pies and they sell out quickly. Jason had already completed recon to the cafe before 8am and reported back to the group chat that lining up before 9 (which was when the pies became available) was advised to ensure success in getting the desired pie. All bar the vegetarian were successful in getting the prize 🙂 . Everyone has also enjoyed scones today from the cafe at various times – the Scott’s for breakfast and the rest of us for lunch.

Around the food-centric theme for today, the Scott’s have ridden bikes all around the station, and all except Kieran (who is recovering from injury) have sweated through a Tani Torture Training session.

Between afternoon naps (not me, for anyone that knows me), craft and drinks at our van before a highly anticipated dinner at The Table which we booked weeks ago, the afternoon has been very pleasant. Jason has enjoyed an outdoor shower in the camp, we saw a large goanna walk directly under a lady’s camp chair at her site (and only told her once it was out the other side as we didn’t want her to fall on it in fright).

Then it was time to head to dinner in the team colours. Loving wearing the shirts Sue organised for these occasions.

The meal was high quality. Everyone enjoyed it. Not sure the silky smooth cheesecake that melted in our mouths for dessert was up to my apple crumble from last night though… no need to gloat I guess 🙂

Tomorrow we are planning an early departure to maximise the explore time at our next location as we are only there for one night and it is 370km up the road. Catch you from there.
