Today was casual explore day. We started the day with Scott’s Turtle 2 showing off it’s new home. Mitcho’s Turtle 1 is feeling jealous….

After a relaxed start we all headed out for an explore on the bikes. It was nice having some cloud cover for a change and not being overly hot and worried about sunburn.

Then it was back to the vans for a Tani workout session. It’s been a few weeks since we’ve done one of these. Bob, Karen and I did this one while Kieran went for a fish.

This afternoon we headed out in the car and found a very large Osprey nest that Melissa saw a few weeks ago while she and Doug were here. Really impressive (see feature photo). We also explored the estuary at the end of the camp grounds.

When we got back to camp, Karen and I did some rock pool exploring out the front of the vans – fish, crabs and cute little waterfalls kept me interested.

This afternoon Karen and I tried unsuccessfully to finish our jigsaw puzzle. We finished off the day with a fire and a round of 5 Crowns. Such a great game 🙂 .

We have heard from Jase and Sue this afternoon. They have headed out on a fishing Charter and by the photos look to have had a very successful day. Sue was complaining about having sore arms after pulling so many fish in but I’m not sure anyone has any sympathy for her….

Our last day at 40 Mile Beach tomorrow before moving on again for a few short, sharp overnighters.
